The part you never see is the part that lasts
Charlotte sits on red clay, and clay moves. It swells when it takes water and shrinks back in a dry August. Almost every driveway that fails around here failed underneath, on a base nobody compacted, not on the surface everybody looks at.
So the money on a job goes into the ground: cutting the grade, compacting it, putting stone where the fill is soft, and working out where the water leaves before a single form goes up. Then thickness, reinforcement, the right mix, and joints cut on the right spacing so the concrete cracks where we decided rather than where it likes.
That is the whole trade. Everything a customer eventually sees on the surface was decided days earlier by somebody standing in the dirt.

Why people call us back
Twenty one reviews and no fours
The rating breakdown on our Google profile is twenty one fives and nothing else. Not an average that rounds up.
Thickness you can check
A customer wrote that we did not skimp on material thickness. The thickness goes on the written estimate so you can hold us to it.
The grade and the runoff first
On a sloped lot the water decides how long the concrete lasts. One customer describes us finding the wet areas and planning the runoff before anything was poured.
The mix the job calls for
Where a job needs a higher strength mix it gets one, and that is on the estimate too rather than being something you find out afterwards.
On time, and you hear from us
Punctuality and communication are the two things reviewers mention most. Arriving on the day we said is most of it.
The site is clean when we leave
A customer put it plainly on a shop pad: no mess left behind, extremely clean job. Demolition debris goes on a truck, not into a pile by your fence.
How a job actually runs
We come out, look at the actual ground, and give you a written number. No charge.
Old concrete out, base compacted, fall set so water leaves. This is the part that decides the lifespan.
Reinforcement in, concrete placed, broom or stamped finish depending on what you picked.
Control joints cut on the right spacing, debris hauled off, and we walk it with you.

At the recommendation of our neighbor we used Ivan and company @ I.V Concrete Services to have a much needed driveway installed. The guys were on time, maintained an open line of communication with us throughout the process and did an absolutely phenomenal job. This is by far the best looking concrete work I have ever had done.
I am very happy with the work that IV Concrete services provided. They were able to complete a massive driveway within only 2 days. Very good finish and didn't skimp out on material thickness. Ivan is great to work with. Very reasonable prices for the work provided.
They did a fantastic job to help decide on the right solution for two walkways that are at declines at different heights. They then poured the concrete the way it was specified with the higher strength concrete mix. Grading was done very well on a sloped lot and areas of water were identified for the right runoff to ensure longevity and mitigate any erosion. Price was very competitive over other bids.
They arrived on time, communicated clearly about the process, and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations. The concrete was smooth, perfectly poured, and looks fantastic. Not only was the job completed quickly, but the attention to detail really stood out.
Hired IV Concrete to do a pad for a shop. Awesome work, great finish, great job overall. Left no mess behind, extremely clean job. Ivan is a pleasure to work with. Cant wait to work with him again in the future!
If you need concrete work done, this gentleman did what he said for the price we agreed and completed job on time. Owner is a perfectionist as well as honest and humble.

Walk on it after a day or two. Cars after seven days. Anything heavy after twenty eight days, because that is when the mix reaches its rated strength. Those are the concrete's rules, not ours.
